Bio

I was born and raised in the Netherlands and when I was eleven I moved to Vienna, Austria with my family where we lived for eight magical years. Growing up in Vienna and attending an international school with international students made me curious about the world. I immediately knew I wanted to pursue something travel related.

I started taking photos with my mothers pocket camera as a way to remember my experience as a Dutch teenager living in a foreign country. Soon after the camera and I became inseparable.

Before heading to college, I attended a photography course in Milan, Italy at Style Design College when I was seventeen. This is where I learned the basics of photography.

With my travel dreams in mind, I applied to Hotelschool The Hague. I completed a bachelor in Business in Hospitality Management. I believe that the knowledge I gained of the hospitality and tourism industry during this degree and work experience within the industry has allowed me to become a better travel photographer.

While attending Hotelschool The Hague, I started taking photos at the weekly events of the student association. From there, I rolled into the Amsterdam festival and nightlife scene. I worked as a festival, event and nightlife photographer for eight years. I also shot social media content for local brands.

A few years ago I felt that it was time for a change. I felt a strong desire to follow my dreams and my dreams were travel related. Besides seeing the world, I have always been extremely passionate about worldwide heritage and ancient history, especially towards the Middle Eastern and North African regions.

The past three years I have been working as a photographer for brands within travel industry and for private clients such as archeologists, researchers and writers. I furthermore work as a travel designer crafting complete travel experiences focused on heritage and ancient history for Ala Khota al Arab travel company based in Saudi Arabia and I will organize immersive photography tours to Morocco with Maroc Unique Voyages and Jordan with Coulture Trips.
